Westminster Walking Tour with Churchill War Rooms

Enjoy a guided walking tour of London before visiting the Churchill War Rooms.

Start your day with an introductory guided tour around Westminster with opportunities to take snaps of some of London's most iconic landmarks, including the London Eye, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey, before heading down Whitehall, home to many of the UK's government buildings.

After a short walk down Whitehall, we head to the original underground bunker that served as Britain’s secret wartime headquarters during the Second World War. Preserved almost exactly as it was left in 1945, you can walk through the narrow corridors and see the Cabinet Room, where Winston Churchill and his ministers met to make crucial decisions. Maps still line the walls of the Map Room, covered with pins and notes tracking troop movements across Europe. There are simple bedrooms used by staff, a tiny kitchen, and even Churchill’s private room, complete with his desk and personal items.
